Authorities Familiarization and Integration

Length – One Day

The Authorities Familiarization and Integration program of instruction provides an introduction to legal authorities as defined under United States Code (USC) Title 10, Title 50 and Title 22.  The course emphasizes the intersection of Title 10 and Title 50 and effective coordination of activities conducted under these authorities.  Lectures and case studies are used to illustrate operational scenarios and issues that arise among various agencies and units in the interagency context.  Upon completion, students have a working knowledge of how their mission requirements are reviewed and approved, and how oversight is applied to ensure legal compliance and mission success.

The class is taught in FRDA’s sensitive training facility by a cadre that includes former senior intelligence and military professionals with direct experience coordinating and deconflicting activities conducted under these titles and authorities.
